Our bodies manifest stress in many ways and sometimes we do not connect the pieces until we are guided through therapy.

As a baseline approach I believe in holistic therapy which assumes that an individual’s self-perception (or their consciousness) is not to be found in any one particular area but is an integration of the entire person, including their physical body, mind (as a function of the brain), feelings or emotions (as a function of the interaction between the brain [central nervous system] and the physical body), and spirit (the higher part of oneself that connects one to others and to an understanding of meaning).

My work is informed by mental health research and evidence based practices. I use an integrative approach and have training/experience in working with the following modalities: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing (CPT), Person Centred Counselling, Emotion Focused Therapy, Culturally Sensitive, Gestalt, Family Systems, Gottman Method, Intervention, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Positive Psychology, Schema Therapy, Psychological Testing and Evaluation, Strengths Base, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Prolonged Exposure Therapy.
